Rockport
I took 3 trips to rockport this visit, and though I took, the obligatory picks of motif #1 and all that other stuff you usually see, this pic landed as one of my favorites. I'm trying to take more abstract shots. This was taken at one of the classic spots where people snap motif #1. I looked the other way. This image is upside down. Its a reflection of a person walking down the road on the edge of the water.

ORIGINALS
I prepared and timed for this shot. I saw this person walking towards the main road so I set up for a multiple shot. I timed the person walking for 3 shots, 1 between the two central objects, 1 with the post in the middle, and that last with the walker in the last 3rd of the frame.

Habtamu the bubble boy
Habtamu and I spent the afternoon at the mall. He got to play in the big plastic bubbles on the pool. I don't need to point that he had a total blast. I guess I sort of sugared him up first, so it was a good thing to get some of it out of his system. (not enough though hehe)
Both images

Fenway Park
Had a great tour of Fenway Park. I took this photo through the reflection off the glass, of a Friday night home game Jersey hanging on the wall. My photofriend Eli has incredible reflection photography. Her advice helped me see this photo op as the sun was blazing into the entire corridor behind me.

Jen & Peter at Papa Joe's
I went to dinner at my Dad's yesterday. Jennifer and Peter were there too. Aren't they a lovely pair? I did some post editing on the originals to soften up the scene. I also edited two photos together to get the top image. Jenn's smile is from a different shot, but I thought it went perfectly with this image. Jenn will kill me if I post the before pic so you'll have to use your imagination on that one.

Habtamu in the backyard
Habtamu and Debritu were having a blast playing in the back yard. They got flour all over them. In these shots i'm trying to capture the greens with Habtamu's brown shirt and skin tone. I'm also developing a soft image technique. These are some of my early shots with this process.

Haraldsveien
When I began to get into photography, a wonderful photographer, Eli, who would later become my photo mentor, gave me high marks for this one. I thought it would be a fitting first photo post. I was very lucky to get this shot. I would later learn the art of waiting and gain the ability to forecast a composition.

Well it's about time
Thought it was about time I created a blog to post some of my favorite photos. More to come for sure. Currently on holiday in Boston.
